Exclusive benefits of Sapphire Reserve

Last reviewed: September 2026. Sapphire Reserve rewards, statement credits, partner benefits and travel protections may change. Review Chase's current terms before relying on a specific benefit.

The Chase Sapphire Reserve® combines premium travel benefits with Ultimate Rewards® points, airport lounge access, statement credits and travel protections.

The card currently has a $795 annual fee, so understanding which benefits are actually included — and which require specific enrollment or spending conditions — is important when evaluating the product.

Chase Sapphire Lounge and Priority Pass access

Eligible Sapphire Reserve cardholders currently receive complimentary access to Chase Sapphire Lounges by The Club.

The card also includes Priority Pass™ Select membership with access to more than 1,300 participating lounges worldwide.

Eligible cardmembers can currently bring up to two complimentary guests to participating lounges, subject to individual lounge policies, capacity limitations and other applicable terms.

Select Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges and Air Canada Cafés are also part of the current Reserve lounge network when applicable access requirements are satisfied.

$300 annual travel credit

Sapphire Reserve currently provides up to $300 in automatic statement credits each account anniversary year for qualifying purchases coded within Chase's travel category.

The portion reimbursed by this credit does not earn Ultimate Rewards points.

Up to $500 in annual The Edit credits

Eligible prepaid stays through The Edit by Chase Travel can currently receive up to $500 in annual statement credits, with a maximum of $250 per qualifying reservation and a two-night minimum.

The Edit reservations may also include property-specific benefits such as daily breakfast for two, a property credit, welcome amenities and room upgrades when available.

Benefits vary by property and should be verified when booking.

$300 Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables credit

Sapphire Reserve currently provides up to $300 in annual statement credits for qualifying purchases at restaurants participating in Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables through OpenTable.

The benefit is currently divided into up to $150 from January through June and another $150 from July through December.

Current rewards rates

  • 8X points on eligible purchases through Chase Travel;
  • 4X points on eligible flights booked directly;
  • 4X points on eligible hotels booked directly;
  • 3X points on eligible dining worldwide;
  • 1X point on other eligible purchases.

Transactions reimbursed by certain statement credits may not earn points on the credited amount.

Points Boost

Selected hotels and flights through Chase Travel may qualify for Points Boost, which can currently provide Sapphire Reserve cardholders up to twice the standard point value.

Points Boost offers rotate and do not apply to every Chase Travel booking.

IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite Status

Sapphire Reserve currently includes complimentary IHG® One Rewards Platinum Elite Status through December 31, 2027, subject to enrollment and program terms.

Because this benefit has a stated end date, cardholders should verify availability before relying on it for future travel.

Global Entry, TSA PreCheck or NEXUS credit

Eligible cardholders currently receive one statement credit of up to $120 every four years toward an eligible Global Entry, TSA PreCheck® or NEXUS application fee.

Travel and purchase protections

The card includes specific protections such as Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance, Trip Delay Reimbursement, Baggage Delay Insurance, Lost Luggage Reimbursement, primary Auto Rental Coverage, Emergency Evacuation and Transportation, Travel Accident Insurance and Roadside Assistance.

Purchase-related benefits currently include Purchase Protection, Return Protection and Extended Warranty Protection.

For example, eligible new purchases can currently receive Purchase Protection against covered damage or theft for up to 120 days, with coverage of up to $10,000 per eligible item. Return Protection can reimburse up to $500 per eligible item when applicable conditions are met, subject to an annual account limit.

Every protection has separate exclusions and claim requirements, so the Guide to Benefits should be reviewed before relying on coverage.

No foreign transaction fees

Chase currently does not charge foreign transaction fees on Sapphire Reserve purchases.

Benefits unlocked after $75,000 in annual spending

Primary cardmembers who currently reach $75,000 in eligible calendar-year spending can unlock additional benefits for the remainder of the qualifying year and the following calendar year.

Current examples include World of Hyatt Explorist Status, IHG One Rewards Diamond Elite Status, Southwest Airlines benefits and additional statement credits.

These benefits require meeting the applicable annual spending threshold and should not be presented as standard benefits available to every Reserve cardholder.

Frequently asked questions

How many Priority Pass lounges can Reserve cardholders access?

The current complimentary Priority Pass Select membership provides access to more than 1,300 participating lounges worldwide, subject to participating lounge terms and capacity.

Does Sapphire Reserve still earn 3X on travel?

The current structure instead provides 8X through Chase Travel, 4X on flights booked directly, 4X on hotels booked directly, 3X on dining and 1X on other eligible purchases.

Do Reserve points always transfer to partners at the same ratio?

Transfer ratios and participating partners are determined by the current Ultimate Rewards program. Cardholders should verify the applicable ratio before transferring because program terms can change and transfers are generally final.

Final considerations

Sapphire Reserve currently combines a high annual fee with numerous travel and lifestyle benefits. The practical value of those benefits depends on whether a cardholder actually uses the relevant statement credits, lounge access, reward categories and protections.
